This Privacy Policy explains how Sidro POS, operating from Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Sidro POS", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you:

- Create or use a Sidro POS account
- Use our cloud point-of-sale and back-office Service
It applies to personal information about business contacts, account users, and — where relevant — end customers whose data is processed through the Service on behalf of our business customers.
By using our website or Service, you acknowledge this Policy. Our Terms of Service govern use of the Service.
2. Who we are

When a restaurant or retail business uses Sidro POS to store their own customer, staff, or sales data, that business is the controller of that data. Sidro POS acts as a processor and processes it only to provide the Service.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Information you provide

3.3 Customer Data in the POS (your business data)
When you use Sidro POS, you may upload or generate Customer Data, such as:

- Your end customers’ names, contact details, and order-related history (if you use Customers features)
We process this Customer Data on your instructions to provide the Service. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use it.

We use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service
- Create and manage accounts, authentication, and access control
- Respond to demo requests, sales inquiries, and support
- Send service-related notices (e.g. security, billing, product changes)
- Process subscriptions and payments

- Analyze website and product usage (in aggregate or with analytics tools, where used)
We do not sell personal information.

Sidro POS is commercially operated from the United Arab Emirates.
Our primary application hosting and data storage are provided by DigitalOcean in Singapore. This means account data, Customer Data, and Service logs are generally processed and stored on servers in Singapore.
Data may also be processed in other countries where our service providers operate (for example email delivery, analytics, or payment processing). By using the Service, you understand that personal information may be transferred to and processed in Singapore and other locations outside your home country. Where required by applicable law, we take appropriate steps to protect transferred data.
9. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, including:
- Account data — while your account is active, then for a reasonable period after closure (or as required by law)
- Marketing / demo inquiries — for a reasonable period to follow up and manage sales records
- Customer Data in the Service — for the life of your subscription, then deleted or anonymized after a reasonable retention window unless law requires longer storage
- Logs and security records — for a limited period for security and troubleshooting
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information (access controls, encryption in transit where applicable, backups, and monitoring). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

- Correct inaccurate information

- Object to or restrict certain processing

For Customer Data stored in your Sidro POS store (e.g. your end customers), contact your store’s owner first — they are the controller. We can assist the store owner with export or deletion where the product supports it.
We may need to verify your identity before responding.
12. Children’s privacy
Sidro POS is a B2B Service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the Last updated date. Material changes will be notified by email or on the website where practicable. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
